Founder & Principal Strategist
Magda is a global expert in youth development and economic opportunity with over two decades of experience designing and leading transformative programs across Africa, Asia, and Central America. As former Director of Youth Development at IREX, she led a $350M+ portfolio across 42 projects impacting youth in over 100 countries. A recognized leader in youth systems thinking, Magda co-authored global principles for youth development, built multi-sector coalitions, and led the YouthDRIVE! strategy to expand positive youth development at scale.
Through MAGREY, Magda brings a rare blend of strategic vision and grassroots commitment—partnering with youth-led organizations, funders, and governments to catalyze solutions that are locally rooted, equity-driven, and globally connected.
Sarka Sengezener
Senior Strategic Advisor
Sarka is a global development strategist with extensive experience helping organizations adapt and grow in complex environments. She has advised partners across more than 40 countries, developing adaptive business strategies, leading multinational teams, and fostering cross-sector partnerships that achieve meaningful results.
At MAGREY, Sarka brings deep expertise in institutional development, financial planning, and organizational change. Her guidance helps youth-serving organizations and funders alike navigate uncertainty, scale with intention, and forge partnerships that deliver measurable impact.
Patrick Freeman
Strategic Programs & Partnerships Advisor
Patrick is a program strategist and partnership architect with 14+ years of experience working across the U.S., Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. His work spans youth development, education equity, workforce readiness, and civic engagement—with a focus on aligning strategy, funding, and local leadership for systems-level impact.
At MAGREY, Patrick supports the design of inclusive, community-driven programs and donor strategies that center youth, women, refugees, and historically marginalized communities. His grantmaking and implementation expertise ensures our partners turn bold ideas into practical, equitable solutions.
